I wonder ...

If jacob's friends ever thought he'd be in love with me. I wonder what they thought when they first heard him, the boy who claimed not to believe in love, say he loved me.

On TV With His Wife, a Softer, Gentler Dean: "Look, I'm not a perfect person, I've got plenty of warts,' Dr. Dean said between coughing spasms and sips from a mug of hot water at the Lebanon forum, where he received numerous ovations. 'I say things that get me in trouble. I wear suits that are cheap. But I say what I think, and I believe what I say, and I'm willing to say things that are not popular, but that ordinary people know are right.'"

Headlines 1.0I'm so tempted to download this, but I think I'd ruin my journalistic career if I watched it for too long.

State of the Union

This will probably be a series, as I go back through what good 'ole Dubya said. First and foremost — because I can quickly address the topic — is the "sanctity of marriage" issue. "On an issue of such great consequence, the people's voice must be heard," Dubya said. But are civil rights an issue of the majority or the minority? It seems civil rights exist to defend the minority, not the majority.

Recreational vs. professional players

If anyone was wondering, he's officially here to stay. (He was signed to just a one-year contract orginally. We were some kind of odd experiment.)

It's made it to 1 degree, but fortunately it feels like -18 or so. Remind me to buy long underwear when I come home. (Damn the city and it's lack of a wal-mart.)

New Year's Resolutions

Now that I'm back at school, it seems like it's actually time to ready myself for a new year. While not quite in the form of a resolution, I have some plans for the year (and years) ahead.

I am not a party girl, and I drink only on rare occassions, preferably alone or with my man. I do well in school. I play cards regularly, and I'm good at it. To get that way, I do some sort of poker-related activity (playing, reading, etc.) for an hour or more every day. I study Russian for three hours a day without fail.

I am in love with this cute guy named Jacob and want to see him happy no matter what it takes. A smile on his face makes me smile, it makes my day, and right now it makes me want to cry.

My life is whatever I dream it to be. It takes my hard work and conscientious decisions to live the life of a dream.

I still want to get married in Vegas.
