Dylan's first column came out in the Voice-Tribune this past week; his second one will be out this coming Thursday. I don't have online versions yet but I'm going to work on it. We're also signing on to do a weekly business feature, which the two of us will trade back-and-forth depending on our schedules, workloads and the topics. The V-T is going to contribute about $400 of extra income a month.

Plus, I have more Lane Report stories on the way, at the tune of about $125 a month. I also just got assignments for two Business First stories, both out in May, for $120 apiece.

We can almost pay our rent with freelancing money. Weird. I'm still working on a summer internship; the Yew Dell Gardens thing may work out. I also might take some summer classes, but I'm not going to decide for sure until I know about the internship. If I do, it'll be a Jazz class (damn required arts class) in May and Chemistry in June. It's also dependent upon who much financial aid I have left that I can use for summer.

Super-cool

I found this site called Notezar today. If you use more than one computer on a regular basis, it's really cool. It allows you to create little notebooks and entries that you can access from any computer in the whole world! Wow! Anyway, it's great for me because I constantly have notes I need to reference from home and work, like meeting notes or story contacts/questions. It'll let you use HTML in the edit box, too. I emailed the guy who made it and suggested a print.css sheet, so there may be that feature in the future, would make it even handier for me. And, for you mac people, it has a widget.

Finally got my license reinstated, so now I can go get it updated. Currently, it says I'm under 21, the address is wrong, the name is wrong ... Oops.

It's spring break and I'm working all week. Boring! It does look like I'll be getting story assignments from another publication, tho', which is cool. Right now I'm working on a story about pet businesses, which I think is really cool.

Also -- I apologize for not updating here very often. I've been posting mostly to the Lightfeet Family Blog instead. So, feel free to drift over there to read about the insanity that is my life.

School, school, school.

After pouring over my program requirements sheets this weekend, I still have no idea when I'll graduate. I technically only have 35 credits left (12 classes), but more than that if I get the BS. So I may switch back into the BA so I can get my JA minor.

Even though registration isn't until April, here's what my schedule will be:

Should be fun. Puts me in class 8-11 a.m. M-F, which I like. Yes, like. Look at the time on this entry. It's not even 6 a.m. yet! I'm not scared of an 8 a.m. class!

In conclusion, I have no idea when I'm going to graduate. The state owes me an extra year of KEES money, so I may just plan on graduating in Spring 2008. I also plan on doing it cum laude, plus I'll have honor cords from Lambda Pi Eta, the communication honor society.
